Welcome to Hythe Sailing Club

Hythe Sailing Club is a family-friendly sailing club, lying between Southampton and the New Forest, with ready access to safe dinghy sailing waters and The Solent, Isle of Wight and beyond. Membership is currently around 300 and with swinging moorings and pound space available for both cruisers and dinghies. The Club welcomes new members.

Sailing events include cruiser and dinghy racing, with safety cover, during weekends and summer evenings and rallies to local and cross-channel destinations. For those without their own craft, club dinghies may be borrowed, or crewing offered. Many courses are held on the premises including: Sail training, safety boat, VHF, radar, diesel engine maintenance, day skipper and yacht master theory.

The modern clubhouse has a lounge with bar and galley, balcony and gardens overlooking Southampton Water. A varied social programme runs throughout the year, and the galley and bar are open on Wednesday evenings, Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.

Members have access to ample car parking, year-round secure storage for dinghies and tenders, hard standing for over-wintering cruisers, and swinging moorings during the sailing season, with a pontoon for loading.

Renowned locally for its community spirit, Hythe Sailing Club operates on a mutual self-help basis, guaranteeing plenty of help and support.
